Real Estate Assistant
A recent convert to the West Coast lifestyle, Laurie and her husband have been homeowners in the area since 2013 but just made the permanent move to Ucluelet in early 2015. Attracted by the amazing combination of ocean, mountains, wildlife viewing and temperate climate it wasn’t too difficult to follow their hearts and leave winter, traffic and the big city behind in Alberta.
So far in just a few short months, Laurie is a regular at Ladies Golf Night and along with her husband Brent, a former firefighter, have become members of the Historical Society and are looking forward to volunteering with emergency services. They are sure that’s just the beginning of many years of community participation.
Laurie brings to The Judy Gray Team extensive experience in both communications and office/legal administration. She most recently volunteered and then worked at the Calgary Zoo in media and communications for a combined total of 14 years. From 1989 to 2006, Laurie worked for Alberta Justice in a variety of management positions including the Crown Prosecutors’ Office, Court of Queen’s Bench and more than a decade managing Judges’ Chambers in the Criminal Division of Provincial Court.
One of Laurie’s favorite quotes is, “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” Certainly the move to beautiful Ucluelet and area offers many of those breath-taking moments in life that make it both memorable and enjoyable.
