Fast Facts about Yard Sale For The Cure:

  • Yard Sale for the Cure was started in 2005, when Toronto resident Rachael Smith hosted the first Yard Sale.  Smith had been diagnosed with breast cancer a year earlier. She started Yard Sale for the Cure to ensure her daughters would never have to hear the words “You have breast cancer.”
  • The Burlington yard sale this year will be hosted by RE/MAX Garden City and will feature a live hot air balloon, bikes, toys, and many more great activities & items. This yard sale will be located in the football field behind Holy Rosary Catholic School (261 Plains Roast East, Burlington ON).
  • Kew Gardens in Toronto will be home of one of the largest yard sales with a live auction starting at 10AM & 1:30PM hosted by Waddington’s. This site is hosted by 1-800-GOT-JUNK and will feature many family activities near the large playground such as face painting, and a BBQ alongside the many exceptional items for sale.
